Our teachers are Mrs Mewes and Mrs Owen and we are supported by our class Teaching Assistant, Mrs Bailey.

 

 

Some other useful information regarding Beech Class:

·       Beech Class do PE on Thursdays. Please make sure that your child’s PE kit is clearly labelled with their name. Children need to come to school dressed ready for PE please. Our PE lesson is provided by Mr Gatfield of Onside Coaching

·       When your child has finished their reading book, please hand it in to me or Mrs Bailey, along with their diary, when the children are lining up in the morning. We will do our best to change it that day.

Tips for how you can support your child’s Reading at home:

Reading regularly at home is extremely important for children’s literacy development. When your child is reading to you, you might like to ask some of the following questions to support their development:

·       Based on the front cover, what do you think the story will be about?

·       What has happened in the story so far?

·       What do you think is going to happen next?

·       Do you like this book? Why? / Why not?

·       Where is the story set?

·       What sort of book is it? Fiction or information text? How can you tell?
