Welcome to Cedar Class
Welcome to Cedar's class page where we will be sharing some of the fantastic learning that we are doing in Year 2 and 3 with our teacher Mrs Archer and Teaching Assistants Mrs Etheridge and Kate.
To help your children with their learning, you can do the following:
• Make sure they read daily. Try to engage with them about the book they are reading by asking them a few questions about what is happening, what they think might happen next and which character is their favourite and why. Read with them or to them when you can, this is still very beneficial even for older children.
• Make sure they practise their times tables as much as possible. Children in Year 2 should know their 2, 5 and 10 times tables and children in Year 3 should know their 2, 5, 10, 3, 4 and 8 times tables by the end of the year.
• Make sure children practise their spellings in preparation for a weekly test on Fridays. Spellings will be sent home weekly.
