Maple Y4 and 5
Welcome to Maple's class page!
In our class you will find Mrs Reed and Mrs Owen our class teachers and Mrs Perry our classroom assistant. We hope you enjoy finding out about our wonderful learning in Year 4 and 5!
To help your children with their learning, you can do the following:
• Make sure they read daily. Try to engage with them about the book they are reading by asking them a few questions about what is happening, what they think might happen next and which character is their favourite and why. Read with them or to them when you can, this is still very beneficial even for older children.
• Make sure they practise their times tables as much as possible. Children in Year 4 will have a multiplication check at the end of the year for which they need quick recall. Times Tables Rockstars is great for practising this on.
• Make sure children practise their spellings in preparation for a weekly test on Wednesdays. Spellings will be posted on Class Dojo weekly.
