Year 5

Welcome to Maple's class page!

In our class you will find Mrs Whelan and Mrs Rehman, our class teachers, along with our Teaching Assistants. We hope you enjoy finding out about our wonderful learning in Year 5!

To help your children with their learning, you can do the following:

• Make sure they read daily. Try to engage with them about the book they are reading by asking them a few questions about what is happening, what they think might happen next and which character is their favourite and why. Read with them or to them when you can, this is still very beneficial even for older children.

• Make sure they practise their times tables as much as possible. Children should continue to log in to their Times Tables Rockstars as this is great for practising on.

• Make sure children practise their spellings in preparation for a weekly test on Wednesdays. Spellings will be posted on Class Dojo weekly.

Thank you for your continued support.
